Hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the world to visit New York City, and Times Square is the most popular tourist attraction. 

This means the streets are constantly congested, which can easily become frustrating. This constant crowd makes for an entertaining scene, but if you are someone who enjoys being alone or in the quiet, this may not be the best place for you.

It’s Expensive

Because Times Square is located in the heart of New York City, it can be extremely expensive to live there. The average rent in Times Square is currently nearing around $6,000, and while this will fluctuate, rent in Times Square is never cheap. Unless you have a substantial income, living in Times Square will likely significantly impact your finances. This may even prohibit you from going out, trying new foods, and going on new adventures.
